A Sampling of our Instructor Biographies
Wes Whately - Directing
Wes has 3 decades traveling the world serving in repertoire theatre. With countless roles and directing projects, it is clear Wes lives for the theatre. When not performing or directing on stage, Wes keeps busy with producing projects for great artists such as Natalie Cole, Paul McCartney, and most recently - Barbra Streisand. Producing TV specials is his current "day job", he produces 4 TV shows for the NBC network and ESPN. Nothing makes Wes happier than working in live theatre,"The play's the thing wherein I'll catch the conscience of the King." "To me, there isn't anything more invigorating and ALIVE than performing for a live audience.
Paul Rivet - Acting
Paul is a second generation Front Range Theatre Company actor, his dad having served on the Board when Paul was a youngster performing in one of our shows. He graduated with a B.A. in theatre education from the University of Northern Colorado and has taught Children's theatre classes at Broadway Bound Theatre Schools in Greeley, CO. as well as the Denver Center Theatre Academy at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. He directed "The Boys Next Door" at Castle View High School. Other directing credits include Peter Pan (FRTC), several improvisation shows ("Give me the Orange" & "For Immature Audiences Only" with the improvisational troupe he founded at the high school) and "I Hate Hamlet". Paul is also a talented performer who can sing, dance and act with the best of them having performed in many local productions. When Paul isn’t acting, dancing or singing, he will be hard at work teaching theatre to middle schools students in Parker!
